We would like to thank the many generous contributors to the Kimberly Anne Gillary Foundation who made it possible for us to donate AEDs to the schools listed below.  We would also like to thank the principals of these schools for demonstrating their commitment to the health and safety of their students, staff and visitors by accepting the donation of the AEDs.  The principals of these schools have also further demonstrated their commitment by establishing an AED Program which provides for the long term maintenance of their AEDs and procedures for responding to a sudden cardiac arrest (SCA).  If your high school does not have an AED and an AED Program, please contact us.

No Response or Declined Offer:

The following schools have declined the offer of an AED for one or more reasons.  In many cases there were good reasons for declining to accept the donation of an AED from the Kimberly Anne Gillary Foundation.  One such reason is the fact that the school may already have one or more AEDs and the principal feels that it would be better for the Foundation to donate the AED to a school in greater need.  In several instances we received no response from the school to our offer to donate an AED and the cost to train five staff members.  If you know the principal, know a parent, or are a parent of a student at one of these schools, please ask the principal to agree to accept the donation of a free AED and training.  The only strings attached are that they must agree to have five staff members trained in CPR and the use of the AED and to pay for ongoing maintenance after delivery which costs approximately $150 - $350 every 2 1/2 years or so depending on which make and model of AED is chosen.  We believe that this is a small price to pay to save a life.
